Big moves:
We come to your home with a dedicated truck. We load your furniture and travel to your new home interstate, meeting the schedule that you set. A bit dearer, but sometimes it’s the only way to do it.
Small moves:
Using the Safe & Clever™ Modular system, www.safeandclever.com , we load your goods into a dedicated space on our truck, transport to Brisbane and then load your goods into their own individual module - no one else’s goods can get mixed up with yours. We can transport your module interstate to Sydney , Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide.
You can have up to 7 days free storage in the module if you need time to travel there or are looking for a new home. This is an affordable, efficient way to move small jobs interstate on a reliable and predictable scheduled service. No waiting around for backloaders who don’t turn up! |

Our Trucks
Don’t be conned! There are removal websites operated by people who don’t even own any trucks! They sub-contract everything out to people they don’t know, and pocket the difference between what they charge YOU and what they screw the “subby” down to. Not nice!
Deal with REAL REMOVALISTS... we have our own fleet of trucks, garaged at our own depot and maintained by our own mechanics. We are the largest independently owned professional and accredited removal company in the Whitsunday area. We have been under the same family ownership for 11 years.

Our Staff
Forget everything else about furniture removals.
The people who turn up to your home are the single biggest factor in whether the day goes well. Our hiring policy is simple: we choose people who we feel comfortable with. They all have their own personalities and they’re not robots, but we don’t hire what you’d describe as “the hoodlum element”... no thuggish looking brutes, just normal, tidy respectful people who’ll do a fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay, and people who you will feel comfortable with in your home and around your family. The surveys we get back from customers would certainly suggest we are on the right track.
When moving day comes around and the truck pulls up and they knock on your door, you shouldn’t get a creepy feeling when they walk inside ! Remember... pay peanuts and you get monkeys, or worse still rock apes!
OUR PRICES
Price is a very subjective thing in removals. How many times have you heard the expression “You get what you pay for” IT HAS NEVER BEEN MORE TRUE THAN IN THE REMOVAL INDUSTRY.
This doesn’t mean Furniture Freighters Whitsunday are expensive. We win about 60% of the jobs we quote, and we’ve been in business for 11 years, so I don’t think we are off in fairyland with our pricing.
Local Removals:
All of our vehicles come fully eqipped with specialist furniture padding, ties and equipment required for the movement of difficult items.
You can hire our ute or a truck with 1-2 or 3 men depending on your budget, and the size of your job. The average move takes between 3.5 and 5 hours based on the average 3 bedroom residence, from start to finish.

So, the people we end up working for want three main things... Reliability, Courtesy & Care. Price is the fourth thing on their list (and they would probably describe it as “value for money” rather than price).
If you want the absolute cheapest move, ring a hundred removalists and pick the cheapie, but don’t ring us when you find yourself let down or in the middle of a train wreck, because WE WON’T HELP YOU. We will be busy helping the nice couple up the street who listened to what we said, did what we recommended and paid a fair price for our services in recognition of what we had to offer.
And forget submitting lists to removalists on the internet, they are a complete waste of time. They never work out, they always cost you more. We’ve heard more bad stories about internet quotes than you’ve had hot dinners. RING the removalist, talk to a real person, they will steer you in the right direction. |

Insurance & RISK
Moving involves risk, and the removalist is not legally liable for anything that happens that is not the removalist’s fault. In other words, you are not covered for unforeseen circumstances or accidents, unless you have separately insured the goods. That’s why we recommend you take out insurance, for the risks we can’t protect you against.

Furniture Freighters Whitsunday holds a “Customer Goods in Transit & Storage” insurance policy. This policy is to protect Furniture Freighters Whitsunday Pty Ltd, against accidental loss or damage to a clients goods.
The policy is for the sole benifet of Furniture Freighters Whitsunday.
So, if any removalist tells you “it’s all insured” or “we have a policy” or worse still “everything will be alright”, ask them to provide the following evidence of cover:
1. A Certificate of Insurance that names you (not them) as the beneficiary of the cover. This policy should show your name, your address and the name of the Insurance Company who is providing the cover, along with any excess if applicable.
2. A policy wording, that explains the Terms & Conditions of the insurance cover.
3. A Financial Services Guide (FSG) and a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). This is a legal requirement of the Australian Securities and Investment Commission for any offer of insurance or financial service.
NOW, FINALLY... scroll back to the top of the page and study that photo again. There’s at least four trucks in there, plus a car, plus a boat trailer. Would this be a good time to discover that the removalist who said “everything will be alright” really doesn’t have you covered for this event.
