In 2001 Ian & Sandra Blewitt saw a great need for a professional removal service in the Whitsunday Region, and commenced trading as Furniture Freighters Whitsunday in January of 2001. Commencing their business with one truck, Furniture Freighters Whitsunday now operate two long distance trucks and one local truck.

In July 2005, Ian and Sandy expanded into New Furniture Transport and opened their Brisbane depot and now operate a fleet of modern fully equipped furniture pan techs.

Furniture Freighters Whitsunday boasts a strong repetitive client base as well as 98% of the Real Estate referral work in the region.

Ian has gained a wealth of experience in the removal industry, commencing as an offsider at 14 years of age, promoted to driver at 18 years of age, promotion to Operations Manager at 32 and then establishing Furniture Freighters Whitsunday at age 40. Ian gained his AFRA [Australian Furniture Removals Association] full accreditation in 1991. Ian's extensive experience reflects in those employed by Furniture Freighters Whitsunday, allowing the business to create tailored solutions for each and every individual situation.
